So lately I've been watching a lot of DIY projects on YouTube and following pinterest and instagram for the same and guess what? I am in absolute awe of what one can create using materials so cheap and easily available. And to begin with, I started with little things kept at home and made dream catchers, jute pot holder, I even went crazy and personalised few of my summer t-shirts, and good Lord! They've come out beautiful!
I then planned of taking the next step of buying materials and making things to pep up my room and organise my stuffs, so that they don't linger around the house and be lost when I actually need something. So ya, I took sometime and looked for things online and Jesus! Were they expensive!!!? Well, not all but yes a few, plus the crazy delivery charges just added up to a crazy amount. Well then, I didn't purchase anything online (I know, what a waste of time) but hey! I found the most amazing place for Delhi-ites who love art and make crafts! 'NAI SADAK' in Old Delhi. I know a few of you might already know, but I went there for the first time and I went crazy!!! Everything I need was right there. Although I had to hop-skip to different shops, but at the end of the day, it was worth it! I bought tons of materials for my craft work ranging from Mod Podge to Neon glow in the dark paints, glass jars, sponge applicators, canvas pad, washi tapes, chimes, stamps, knife, measuring board, bottle cleaners, stickers, 3D sheets, quilling sheets, beads spray paints and oh my God! The list is never ending! I know a few can be found in local markets, but trust me, it's a life hack baby! If you're short on cash and need hell loads of things... This is the place I would suggest you to check out!!!
Normally people from art and creative backgrounds know about this place, but normal people like you and me somehow waste money on things not even worth it.
So if you're living in Delhi and plan on doing some DIY projects, do visit this place for a shopping spree and I'm sure you'd go Gaga, just like I did.
Oh and also, just to add something up to your happiness, pamper yourself with the street food around! Sevaiya and kheer! Delicious! If you have a sweet tooth like me, do try it out!
That's all for today. Hope some of you find this information useful. I will post up my DIYs soon. So keep reading and smiling!
Cheers!
Until next time!
